2 Monitors With Different Resolutions

Thinking of upgrading my setup - at work I had two really crappy 'default' monitors that would make my eyes hurt after a day of work so eventually I brought my home setup to the office (two 24 inch IPS Dell monitors) and now looking to get a new home setup.
The reason is that IPS monitors are great for work but so-so for gaming and 1080p 120 Hz TN monitors are great for gaming but make my eyes hurt if I work on them for any significant length of time.
I am thinking of getting two 27 inchers - a high res 2560 x 1440 or similar IPS for work and 1080p 27 inch 120Hz TN monitor for games (and work where I need a second monitor but spend 90% of the time looking at the main one.
Question - anyone here works with two monitors of different resolution? Any annoyances to watch out for?

Fixing Resolution On Monitor

Are you using Windows 10 Operating System on your PC? Do you prefer to use multiple monitor setup for your work? Then, check this post on setting up dual monitors with different resolutions in Windows 10 system. Here, I have provided a step-by-step guide which will help you to make dual monitor setup easily & quickly. Physically, these monitors are roughly the same size. Furthermore, Windows 10 handles the DPI scaling of the 4K monitor separately from the 1080p monitors just fine. The real layout is three monitors of equal size side by side. The problem is that the mouse keeps getting caught on the edges of display 2 and three when dragging from display 1. Seems like every OS out there has struggled to properly deal with multiple monitors of vastly different resolutions. I have a 1080p display and a 4K display, and it has caused no end of issues. Thanks for the workaround.
