Panasonic TC-P50C2 Review: 50” Plasma HDTV
I have a 50' Panasonic Viera 1080 p plasma HDTV. Watching tv and at about 4:30 the picture went blank. I'm not exactly - Answered by a verified TV Technician.
Up for Review: Panasonic TC-P50C2 Plasma TV. Panasonic has not given much emphasis to decreasing the depth of the Plasma TVs this year. The C2 series too is as thick as 3.5” which does not speak much in favor of the TV being mounted on the walls. But the Neo PDP panels have more than made up for the lack of slimness. With darker blacks and purer whites, they provide pictures which are certainly quite impressive. Not only do they provide superb images with optimal brightness but also prevent glares from interfering with your vision. These panels also save a lot of energy consumption because of the advanced technology used.
Panasonic has not integrated the 1080p resolution in this series. Although you get a big display of 50 inches in this model, yet the pictures will be available only in 720p. This will however be a huge influence on the price of the TV. The thicker panels and 720p resolution are the reasons why you can get this model for a much reduced rate. In fact, this can serve as a second TV in the house for watching the routine TV programs which are mostly telecast in 720p. However, if you think of connecting the Blu-ray disc player, you may not be very pleased with the results.

Panasonic retains the 600Hz Sub-Field Drive in this TV which allows you to see the pictures with perfect clarity. When compared with the latest LCDs with very high refresh rates, this Plasma TV gives much better pictures because of this technology. The frame rate is very fast and they replace themselves at such high speed that you hardly get any blurring in the scenes. Watching high action sequences becomes a pleasure especially the sports or movie actions. You can watch every single detail without losing the crispness of the images.
Together with the 3D technology, Panasonic has also not included the Viera Cast feature with this series. So you are not able to have a glimpse of the Internet or stream content from it. However, the Viera Image Viewer and the Viera Link features are still intact; you can view all the photos from the digital camera on the big 50-inch screen of the TV. With the Viera Link, you can control all the devices connected to the TV with a single remote. This will not only make things easy for you but also save a lot of clutter. Since Panasonic has cut down the costs of this TV, it makes sense to buy it, provided you are happy with just the basic features.

Pros: I like it seems everyone else did a ton of research into buying my first HDTV and it is hard to find a bad review on this set. Most of them appear to be issues with shipping and not the T.V. at all. This T.V. was bought to replace my main set a Sony 36 inch WEGA. I play a lot of video games as well as some cable and movies from time to time, so I wanted to make sure I got the best HDTV for games primarily. This T.V. looks flat out amazing right out of the box and the THX Mode is awesome, I use it for everything with minor tweaks I got off the web. My Xbox360 has never looked better and I have played for very long stretches with absolutely no image retention at all. Very happy with my purchase!!

Overall Review: Bought many small items from New Egg and always was very satisfied. This was my first big purchase from the site and I must say I am really impressed!! Shipping company was great! Gave me a 2 hour window 12 - 2 and showed up just after 1.. The gentleman brought it into my home, helped me take it out of the box to inspect for damage, and did not leave until all was well.. This is the best T.V. for the price you will find, forget LCD ... Go Plasma, you will not regret it!! and your eyes will thank you!!
Pros: Awesome HDTV...........the picture is amazing! Like most I spent a lot of time researching the best picture in this price class. I narrowed it down to the Panny 50' G10. This tv was replacing an existing 37' panny I bought 5 years ago. My first panny was a great tv and I never had one issue with it......I was only replacing because I wanted a bigger size. Panasonic quality, trouble free performance, and an amazing picture make this a no brainer. Buy this TV you will love it! Newegg pricing is also the best and free shipping!

Overall Review: Newegg service is great. This is the first time I ordered anything from them. I purchased the TV online on a Sunday afternoon..............the TV was delivered 3 days later on Wed!!!! GMS the delivery company was great they gave me a 5 hour window 12 to 5pm and they arrived at 2pm. The driver was friendly and helpful. Great job Newegg!

Overall Review: First of all, I have to give kudos to Newegg for shipping this product. It was delivered by a very considerate, friendly company and the driver himself gave me what I would call the 'white glove' treatment.
This TV is beautiful! I was floored at the quality of the picture once it was hooked up to and receiving high-definition channels. We also use this TV for Wii gaming and just love it. The menus are super easy to navigate. The remote is simple to use as well. The TV itself is sleek and attractive and fits solid on its supplied base. We use this TV in a basement rec room so there are no windows around, therefore we have no problems with glare. One of the things I love about this TV is that it can be easily watched from any spot on our U-shaped couch.. Those on the sides can see the picture just as easy as those who are looking at it dead on. I would recommend this TV to anyone using it in a similar situation/location.

Cons: Still a little on the heavy size or a flat screen TV.
Cons: Optical sound out is cripled. Don't expect to plug something in via HDMI and then use the optical audio out for DTS or DD. The optical out is stereo of different flavors.
Overall Review: As a 6' 170 guy, this was no problem to move and set up alone. Easy to grip and not very heavy.

Cons: The only con that I can think of is that it doesn't have integrated functionality with things like Youtube, Netflix, Hulu, etc... directly from the ethernet port in the back. However, I knew this going in and understand there are certain licensing issues, so it's not a big deal at all.
Overall Review: AIT guy was great. Gave us plenty of time to inspect the TV and even plug it in to make sure there was no damage or problems with the device.
Pros: Bought this TV at BuyBest 2 months ago, for $200 more. This price ($1199) is a great deal. After 6 months of research, I decided on this Plasma. TV has been incredible, AT+T Uverse HD cable is unbelievable on this set, viewing angle is nearly 180 degrees. All I need is surround sound to complete a great combo. Existing sound is very good as it is. I'd buy this TV at newegg's price.

Pros: It is the very best plasma for your bucks. Panasonic specializes in plasma screen. I have owned a Panasonic 37' for over 5 years and it is still working 100%. When I purchased a bigger home I decided to purchase a 50' or better LCD, LED or Plasma. After much research and comparison to Samsung plasma, and others technologies, I have come back to Panasonic for my new purchase. Price is much better and the quality is a 10.

Overall Review: Plasma has higher performance even over so called LED technology, which is just a LCD panel with a LED backlight. In my comparison, the LED did not look better and could see motion blur and artifacts. LEDs are still way to expensive for simple LED technology.
